History of Diwan-e-Am Jaipur

The Diwan-e-Am was constructed between 1729 and 1732 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It was meant to be that space where he could meet and address the grievances of his subjects. What stands today as an open hall had curtains all around, and it used to host public court sessions daily.
